PROBLEM Pilot visibility is a key factor during demanding helicopter operations (sling operation, law enforcement, military and other). The standard field of view in the H125/AS350 is insufficient for such operations.
COMPROMISE The known visibility improvement solutions (floor window, door removal, external mirror, bubble door) have major disadvantages:
- No permanent view to the load at sling operation
- Consequently loss of efficiency (increased cycle time)
- Safety issues, specifically in bad weather operations
- Dependency on ground crew (radio contact) at pick-up and drop-off
- Pilot fatigue
SOLUTION MAXIMUM PILOT VIEW KIT provides unrestricted pilot view to the most important mission sectors (right side up, vertical down) by:
- Enlarging cabin floor window to 350 % of existing floor window
- Adding a new bubble door, thus providing more space for the pilot’s head and uninterrupted view by a huge, single piece window
- Maximizing visibility from vertical down to the upper door frame without almost any obstructions
- Providing 25mm (1.0in) more head (helmet) space at the upper door frame
DE-MODIFICATION KIT Swiss Rotor Services developed a de-modification
kit that removes the MPVK installation and revert the rotorcraft to the same external configuration as the standard H125 /AS350; as an option, this reversion would retain a floor viewing window.

- De-modification kit
GVH Aerospace confirms that the modification is removable, and that the aircraft may be restored to the original exterior shape and door configuration via embodiment of a Service Bulletin (SB) instructing the restoration of
the aircraft floor and fuselage structure, and re-installation of an Airbus production door.

By paying the deposit, the purchaser ensures his kit number in the order of orders received. The date of the deposit determines the priority of the purchased item (first come, first served).

APPROVED MPVK INSTALLERS ON EASA REGISTERED AIRCRAFT
145kts up to 3’000 ft MSL. Above 3’000ft according RFM (143 kts 4’000 ft /140 kts at 5’000ft.
No measurable differences have been shown before & after the installation. Mark that the design does not allow the airflow to stall.
It prevents rain drops to glide down to the lower window in order to not disturb the vertical visibility; works in light rain.
It is just a hole to avoid sun reflextion by viewing thru two glases. The outer glass is planned to be removable in order.
Two possibilities exist in order to prevent PAX to step in the hole; 1st a full side ,step-in-board’ which closes the lower window completely; weight up to 300kg/660lb are allowed to step on. 2nd; as an option, you can order a small ,step-in-board’, which closes only about the rear 30% of the hole; fold and unfold possible by the pilot.
The standard heating tube below the pilot seat has been turned to the right; allowing the pilot to blow hot air thru a wide vent direct in the lower window. The hot air then moves upwards to unfog the RH door window and heat the cabin.
Work is in progress to achieve the removal of the outer glass by quick release screws. No sun deflections and agreeable temperatures and ventilation at hot OAT will be the result. Glass can be stowed in the side cargo-hold.
By providing the pilot a big vertical visibility, he’s eyes can cover more reference points (Reference points are required to hold the helicopter stable without instruments). Furthermore the pilot has a much bigger field of awareness; obstacles, loose goods and other dangerous subjects are recognized instead of being hidden. And long horizontal loads are now visible.
The new door provides 25mm/1inche more helmet freedom compared to the standard door.
